Sand in my Toes

Sand in my Toes!!!

The Burnette Children

When I think of the beach my mind goes to bright, sunny days, the breeze blowing in my hair, the waves crashing in, sand in my toes, gorgeous sunrises and dramatic sunsets. The beach also reminds me of relaxation and sweet memories of family time.

Sunset is the most popular time for beach sessions. We call this time the “golden hour”. It’s when the lighting turns a golden hue and everything warms up. It’s just beautiful!

However, sunrise is our most favorite time of day. On the coast of SC, the sun rises on the water. The lighting is cleaner in the morning which gives the sand, water, and sky a more Caribbean feel. Those pastel tones are gorgeous.

The other day I had a mom ask me if we would get the same classic feel from a beach session that we get from our studio portraits. Here’s my answer: these sessions are totally different. Even though our beach sessions are timeless they are also very casual unlike our classic portraits in the studio. A beach session is more environmental which means the background/setting is just as important as the subjects. The setting enhances the story-telling in the portrait.

Over the years, our beach sessions have become one of the most sought after sessions for the studio. We only offer a limited amount of time so these sessions always sell out.

We will be heading to the Pawley’s Island/Litchfield area on August 9th-11th meeting at Huntington Beach State Park. We only have one more appointment left that weekend. It's a sunrise session on Saturday, the 10th.

We would love to meet you at the coast this year and create a unique piece of art for your home. You will definitely cherish these portraits. As a mom, I love my beach portraits of my children and wouldn’t take anything for them.

If next month's trip does not work and you're going another time then give us a call and we might can customize a time for you.

Call us today to reserve your time with us at the beach. 864-235-7864
